Produced in the Pays d'Auge from bitter, bitter-sweet, sweet and sharp cider apples by double distillation in copper stills, VSOP is aged in small previously-used casks, including some former wine casks. It offers an appetising fruitiness over ripe apple flavours, combining smooth elegance with the first hints of spices.

The elegance of an old Calvados. XO is aged in small previously-used casks, including former wine, fortified wine and brandy casks, adding further sweetness and complexity. Dense and rich, with notes of baked apples and tarte Tatin, the nose evolves towards a subtle rancio.

Aged for more than fifteen years in a collection of former Calvados casks which add refined, silky tannins along with floral and spicy notes. Flamboyant amber in colour with a complex nose reminiscent of tarte Tatin, on the palate it is powerful, intense and supremely elegant.

When the Calvados Pays d'Auge appellation was created in 1942, most Calvados was consumed uncoloured and known as 'La Blanche'. This eau-de-vie de cidre is double distilled in copper stills from over thirty varieties of cider apples. Crisp, fresh and fruity, it is a superb cocktail spirit and an alternative to fruit eaux-de-vie.
